Battle the Gods
I think it would be very fun to be able to battle the Gods of Tyria.
I will admit, I'm not enjoying the current storyline too much, but after reading the lore of the gods in the instruction manual and reading all the monuments, I've become quite intrigued by the gods.
I think this game has the coolest gods out of all RPGs (although some a re a bit cliche`) and I'd really like to see more about them.
In the manual, the gods are neccissarly unbeatable or invinsible. This is further supported by the UW/FoW storylines.
The battle with the gods could simply be a test of stregnth. The gods would not have a specific Profession, but would be able to use all skills from the professions that they do govern.
Dwayna: Healing Prayers and Air Magic
Balthazar: Axe Mastery, Swordsmanship, Hammer Mastery, Tactics Fire Magic, and Smiting Prayers
Grenth: Blood Magic, Death Magic, and Curses (Although it is not listed, I'm assuming Water Magic, also)
Lyssa: Domination, Inspiration, and Illusion
Malandru: Beast Mastery, Marksmanship, Wilderness Survival, and Earth Magic
To be honest, I also think that PvE is rather lacking in challenge (Even FoW and UW, supposedly the hardest areas in this game, are quite easy). I think these would add some nice optional challenges to this game. These battles WOULD NOT be easy. Ever. Even when playing with a very skilled team, it should still be a gamble. The Gods would be able to cast multiple spells at once, the could move and attack while casting, and have enormous amounts of Health and Energy.

I agree. Fissure of Woe and Underworld is becoming very easy (and repetitive; yes for the last time, I know Im not supposed to talk to the ghost)... so being able to battle the Gods would be awesome.

That would be a great challenge. Possibly like the bonus for Dragon's Lair (does that avoid any spoilers enough?), or the gods could send down an avatar (bigger and more destructive than the current ones, ofc) which we could try and beat.
These challenges could replace the UW and FoW as being the events that need the favour of the gods, or they could not need favour, but could go towards your province earning favour (possibly along the lines of every streak of 10 wins for one team, or each time a team defeats all the gods avatars in one go we get the equivalent of win in the HoH taken off the requirements for our next set of favour, amounts reset whenever favour is transferred)

Hmm, I think the gods should remain more of impossible to reach, to let it remain its mystery. Though some kind of 'right hand' might be fun .

They could add them as the story progresses. I don't believe they are planning on keeping their mysteriousness forever. We still have to find out why they left Tyria ^^;
But after more is revealed about them, I think it would be a pretty nice addition.

I think that win or lose if you did fight the dieties that you would get some awesome weapon or item that only you can use and wouldn't be able to sell the items to other players. I mean like if you fought Balthazar and depending on how well you did before you died would depend on how powerful the item is like a 30-50 sword of Balthazar with a lot of mods on it if you did really well if you did poorly it would be like 20-30 sword of balthazar with a few mods, and you would have to find where they live and if your ascended then you can find them alot easier than you would normally, and when you find where they are you talk to them and go through some options and stuff like buying armor from that diety for that profession which would be the best in the game that sort of thing or ifght them to become even more powerful and can only fight them once a day that sort of thing.
